The police in Bauchi yesterday told Daily Trust that Ibrahim Ali, a prison warder attached to Zone C headquarters of the Nigerian Prison Service Bauchi was Tuesday killed by unknown gunmen.
Police Public Relations Officer ASP Mohammed Barau confirmed the incident, saying, “last night unknown gun men went to the residence of a prison warder attached to zone c headquarters and shot him to death, we have commenced investigation into the incident, we have also intensified surveillance and by the grace of God we will arrest the culprits”. ASP Barau said no arrest had been made and appealed to the genera; public to help the police with useful information that would lead to the arrest of the criminals, adding that the police would protect the identity of any person that gives useful information to them.
